A bad day
The morning arrives, but it feels all wrong, A weight that’s been building far too long. The air is thick, the world is gray, Each second drags, yet won’t decay. Inside, the storm begins to rise, Tearing through every piece that tries To hold together what’s left of me, But I’m drowning in what no one sees. The mirror mocks with empty eyes, A face that’s foreign, a heart that lies. Every breath feels sharp, a blade, Every thought a darker shade. Memories twist, they fracture, they bite, Turning the past into endless night. Voices echo, cruel and cold, Each whisper a story of failure retold. My body trembles, my mind implodes, A fragile dam that finally erodes. No screams, no cries, just silence spreads, a numbness that binds, a life that shreds. There’s no tomorrow, no way to mend, Just this abyss that doesn’t end. A bad day, they call it, but it’s so much more. It’s losing the fight, the will, the war.
