5 Years Time
I wanna go back about 5 years time I would play with my friends In their yard In their sandbox I would be told to be home by dinner Be home by the street lights No parent supervision Nothing to stop us when we were together. Now, I text them, my parents text their parents We set a place and a time To meet up and split ways A parent always watching A list of rules set each time No drinking No smoking No vaping No drugs No kissing No sex No jail time No money spent No ubers, taxis, etc. There and back only Parents check our phones Our secure folders Our my eyes only in snapchat Our bedrooms Our backpacks They don't check the things... That are needed sometimes They don't check our wrists and ankles Or check our mental state They don't think about the real reason a knife is beside our bed or why our bodies have red scratch lines on them They don't think about the reason we always wear hoodies and sweats Instead of jeans and a shirt
