5 Minutes....
“I hate when people say it’s 10:00 when it’s only 9:55, cause a lot can happen in just 5 minutes.” Five minutes is a door left unlocked. A message unsent. A breath held too long. It’s the space between I’m fine and the truth cracking through your teeth. In five minutes, someone can change their mind, or lose it. Someone can fall quiet or finally speak. Clocks like to pretend they’re exact, like time is obedient, like moments don’t spill over the edges. But I’ve seen five minutes ruin things, save things, turn almost into never or almost into forever. So don’t rush it. Don’t round it up. Don’t steal those last minutes from me. Because 9:55 still belongs to possibility, and I’m not ready to let it go yet.
