I was reckoning i was retribution I was not accepting anything but groveling and penance I was holy and righteous cleansing fury now I'm here cleaning up the glass knees on the floor begging for forgiveness compromising the self-love I demanded only moments ago no one else would put up with me no one would even try I sob to myself as I try to mask the anger from the eyes that come in the morning the eyes that only judge the eyes that would add this to the pile of my sins when will I find eyes that unconditionally love? i see them in the tears that fall in the dreams that comfort in the arms I wake in when I'm all alone
