268. No one knows
Sometimes, not even me But I'm trying to see Who I am in this vast sea Not just who you want me to be Maybe a man, maybe a lady Probably with the middle name Lee Maybe a Muppet, maybe a rat Maybe like a ghost or a cat Maybe I'm all or none Or oscillating between any identity Maybe I'm just one But I'm not doing this for fun I'm doing this to figure How to explain it all This more than being constantly sad This more than being constantly mad This more than out of place Feeling that's got me off pace Maybe you're right Maybe it's an oversight Maybe I want it to be more I'm not sure But I am tired and sore Of acting by your pure Pure expectation, pure fear Of acting fine when I'm close to tears I've felt off my whole life I'd rather end this strife Maybe I should know For certain, without a doubt But I don't And neither do you (So please stop acting like you do)
