20s in the city
The reminiscence strikes like thunder, From a sky so clear. The pace is too much to keep up with, But somehow, I’m more myself than ever. It stirs thoughts of paths not taken, The notion of twenties in the city, How rife it is for some, Though the lack devours what’s left of me. I sink, overwhelmed by the weight of my mind. What's worse than failing a dream, Is when you get to live it, Fully but never truly, forevermore.
